How to access the Grow Lightly Hub from Commercial St, Korumburra

There have been a few people not sure about how to get to the Grow Lightly Hub on foot from the main shopping street, Commercial street, Korumburra.
Walk with us on this photo journey to help you find your way.

A sign points to the Great Southern Rail Trail from Commercial Street, next door to the Korumburra Florist. Be sure to say hello to the florist's resident kitty, likely asleep in the window.

Walk towards the underpass, decorated at its entrance with beautiful murals created by local celebrated artist Melanie Capel.

Walk through the white painted underpass illuminated by lights.

If you're lucky, you might be greeted by a local Galah at the other end.

The "Before" photos of the enbankment garden might not look too appealing yet, but with the recent formation of a KRS garden working group, this space is set to change into something beautiful and welcoming for visitors and the local wildlife. A baby blue tongue lizard has been spotted and care has been taken to not disturb that area.
Walk down the one way driveway access for the station parking area, and up either the breezeway access ramps or the further end of the station has a wheelchair accessable ramp up onto the platform.

If you are interested in helping with a future working bee for this garden project, you can fill out our Expression of interest form via the LINK HERE.

The Korumburra Landcare Group is currently involved with the GL working group to change this area for the better.
We are looking forward to the transformation of this space in the next 12 months, things may take some time to grow but work is already underway to clean up the site and plant a thriving low maintenance garden.
