About Grow Lightly...
Grow Lightly is a not for profit enterprise that works throughout Southern Gippsland and surrounds, to encourage people to grow food themselves, and eat food sourced locally.
For well over a decade, Grow Lightly has been supplying weekly orders of fresh organic fruit and vegetables and more, using a network of team members and volunteers to pack and distribute bags to Gippsland households.
The aim is to give people access to high-quality local food, and to encourage small-scale organic farming and horticulture in the local area.
Clean
Everything grown according to principles of organic agriculture, some certified organic. Our Growers are required to sign a "Growers Charter" to show the commitment to producing food of high nutritional value without recourse to synthetic fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides.
Fresh
Everything harvested in peak condition, requiring minimum storage. Our Growers harvest just days, hours or moments before delivering to our Hub ready to be packed into customer orders.
Local
Everything sourced within our region or as local as possible. Reducing food miles and supporting local growers and producers. Strengthening local food security.
Seasonal
Providing the best available produce for the time of year. Supporting local growers and producers as well as our environment. Reducing food waste and eating more sustainably.
