The Bayside Health Planned Activity Group, based out of Korumburra Hospital, visited the Grow Lightly Hub recently and learned about how we operate as a weekly online shop.

Many of the local attendees were happily reminiscing about trips to the Korumburra Railway Station when the trains were still in service.

They remember ordering refreshments at the other end of the station building and waiting for their train to take them towards Melbourne.

Many were surprised to hear about the trap door in the corner, if you'd like to hear more about that, and see for yourself, pop by on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning when our team of volunteers are setting up for the week's order packing.

The visitors tasted and enjoyed some fresh local seasonal fruit supplied by Grow Lightly and learned about ways for their friends and family to get involved with a variety of volunteer positions we currently have available.

Founder, Meredith Freeman, gave a brief history of Grow Lightly and the resillience of how we have managed to keep going and evolving with different challenges. We are in a new chapter right now and good things are coming for our organisation and the community.

Now is the time to get involved, we NEED YOU, and we all need to eat! If you think you would like to connect with your community in some way, get involved and have some time to offer your help we have a variety of roles available.

An expression of interest form is available on our website, or via THIS LINK. Or you can send an email to info@growlightly.com.au

Grow Lightly operates as a weekly online shop, LINK HERE, as well as a Farmer's Market stall on the 2nd Saturday morning of each month located at the Coal Creek Farmers Market, Silkstone Road, Korumburra.
