Event recap: Serenity Hill lunch

Lunch with Serenity Hill. Healthy Landscapes, Healthy Communities- BCSG Food System Alliance event on 18th February 2026.

Held at the Korumburra Community Hub, the BCSGFSA team met with Serenity Hill and welcomed attendees to share a healthy fresh lunch and conversation about local food systems.

James Duffield, the Project Coordinator for the Food Alliance asked Serenity a number of questions on the subject. Serenity gave thoughtful answers with her years of knowledge and experience and offered advice and guidance for the projects being undertaken by the Alliance.

A delicious spread of healthy fresh food was provided to the guests and it was a way for locals to meet like minded people, mingle over a meal, and discuss their involvement within the community with their focus in the local food system.

Free zucchini's at the door were snaffled up and everyone was encouraged to take home leftovers from the delicious lunch to reduce food waste.
