The Grow Lightly AGM will be held on Sunday 20th August 2026 with new board member positions and volunteering roles including delivery driving roles becoming available.
Becky Banks, our Grow Lightly chairperson is stepping aside from her current role to welcome a new face, yet to be detemined, as the position of chairperson, she's very keen to continue her involvement with Grow Lightly but in a different capacity. Becky's work as initiative lead for the BCSGFSA Grow Lightly projects and her involvement with the recent GL lease and move to the Korumburra Railway Station building have been enormously appreciated and her dedication has been praised by both teams and by the community.
2026 has been a bustling hive of activity for the Grow Lightly team, we're settling in to our new Hub nicely and looking forward to the next chapter.
Helen W, our wonderful volunteering lead and 'Queen bee' of the Wednesday morning packing team, is also stepping aside from her role as she moves to a new home. We will miss her leadership, energy and sharing a chat and a cuppa after the packing work is done.
If you are interested in getting involved this is a fantastic opportunity to do so, to engage with our local food system and make an impact in our community by finding a new purpose for your own life with a socially rewarding volunteering role.
Do you love driving and would like to connect with members of the community who understand the value in 'supporting local', who order or purchase fresh local produce to support growers from our region?
We have delivery driving positions available and are currently working on our FSA initiative 'The Mobile Grocer' which is an electric van which will be kitted out like a produce stall and driven to a set provided route within South Gippsland and Bass Coast to provide food access to local communities.

RSVP to come along to our AGM on Sunday 30th August 2026, details can be found via this LINK to a previous blog post. Or by emailing Becky Banks, Chairperson at rebeccabanks01@gmail.com
